"Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world." Josephine Demott Robinson
Hooves for the Heart, LLC offers animal assisted activities and learning as well as therapeutic riding lessons throughout the year for high risk children and youth. These one-on-one opportunities with animals such as horses, cows, llamas or alpacas can reach a child who is struggling in immeasurable ways. Optimum success is reached with parental support and encouragement.*

Our lessons can be the catalyst for change in many families. We engage tough kids to create lasting results while gaining a specific understanding of the personalities of each of our clients. We understand the ebb and flow of this often erratic and self-sabotaging population so lessons can empower the family rather than cause further unraveling. We strive to be sensitive to the relationship that each parent has with his or her child. It is part of our job to give the parents support and understanding.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual needs of each child. Lessons have been designed to help with aggression, attachment, attention, balance, behavior, compliance, coordination, courage, increased listening skills, sensory integration and small and gross motor skill development. This one on one type of lesson is easily adapted to reach even the toughest kids.

We seek to enable each child to trust themselves, their parents, and, their environment. We have a high success rate in making a difference in the lives of these children.

*Parental support and participation is required.
